Stock Clerk Lead
Job Description
PRIDE Industries is a fast-paced company dedicated to creating jobs for people with disabilities and providing quality solutions to clients. We are now seeking a Stock Clerk Lead for an AbilityOne contract.
Typical Duties
- Leads a work team, prioritizes, assigns, and coordinates daily staff activities.
- Trains and assists workers in performing duties.
- Maintains inventory records of items in work site stockroom or warehouse.
- Verifies inbound shipments against packing slips to ensure accuracy of items being delivered and issues parts to fulfill service order requests.
- Sorts, weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice, examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock, and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
- Fills pick tickets from inventory for pending service order requirements and enters changes in system.
- Loads and unloads freight from trucks, storage containers or vehicles, and sorts and stacks materials to be palletized for movement.
- Inspects materials and products for proper and secure packaging, and maintains integrity and condition in bin locations.
- Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
- Compiles reports of issues and receipt transactions completed over a weekly and a monthly basis.
- Often performs tasks common to the “material handler” job description. May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued. Processes real-time systematic transactions for moving materials using RF scan guns.
- On occasion, work requires local travel to other facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- One year of related experience.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Familiarity with receiving processes and procedures preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift, RF Scan Gun, and other material handling equipment preferred.
- Computer literacy and ability to look up and enter information using a computer.
- Ability to learn specialized software related to departmental operations.
- Communication skills to provide procedural and factual information, and respond to questions from customers, employees, and others.
- Customer service skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests; and escalate the more difficult matters appropriately.
- Knowledge of basic business English including vocabulary and spelling.
- Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common sense skills.
Education Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
Physical Requirements
- Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
- Maneuvering to and around equipment
- Bending, stooping, and reaching
- Utilizing keyboard
- Monitoring computer systems
- Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds
- Answering/making phone calls
- Communicating with others
Work Environment
- Work is primarily performed at a customer’s location in an office / shop environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and/or noise from equipment.
- Transporting to locations with the work site may be required.
- Employees may also be exposed to extreme cold or heat.
