Stock Associate

Position Overview

The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They also maintain the organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the stock room.

Essential Functions

• Customer Experience First Impressions: Create a positive first impression by adhering to the dress code.

• Store Standards: Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by following store standards and cleanliness guidelines.

• Inventory Control: Notify management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns in the stock room.

• Merchandise Handling: Sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise as needed.

• Stock Organization: Bring new goods to the selling floor and replenish merchandise from the stock room to the selling floor.

• Operations: Execute transfers, RTVs (Return to Vendor), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends.

• Stock Room Maintenance: Ensure the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is ready for the selling floor at all times.

• Cohoperation & Dependability: Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management, be punctual, adhere to the work schedule, work well with peers and management, and follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.

• Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties actively.

• Meetings and Functions: Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.

• Positive Attitude: Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.

• Inventory Participation: Participate in all inventories.

• Miscellaneous Responsibilities: Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.

• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

• Flexible Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
