About the role

The role at Episcopal Church Home focuses on providing high-quality care and support to residents in various living options including independent/ residential living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and short-term rehab. The position also includes responsibilities related to the Center for Memory Support & Inclusion, Deupree Meals On Wheels, Swipe 'N' Dine, Living Well Senior Solutions, and the ERS Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and professional care to residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist residents with daily activities of living such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure residents receive appropriate medical care and treatment.
  • Oversee the operation of the Center for Memory Support & Inclusion, ensuring all activities and services meet the needs of residents with memory impairments.
  • Manage the Deupree Meals On Wheels program, ensuring timely and nutritious meals are delivered to residents who require this service.
  • Operate Swipe 'N' Dine, managing the food ordering system and ensuring it meets the dietary needs of residents.
  • Support the implementation of Living Well Senior Solutions initiatives, enhancing the quality of life for residents.
  • Work closely with the ERS Foundation to raise funds and support community outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., gerontology, social work, nursing) preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with memory impairments or dementia.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors.
  • Experience with food service management systems.
