About the role
The Mosquito Range Heritage Initiative (MRHI) is a grassroots nonprofit and an AmeriCorps Program based in Alma, Colorado. MRHI works to protect high-elevation ecosystems, supports unique alpine plant communities, and ensures clean drinking water and natural resources for local residents.
Responsibilities
- Develop educational curriculum for staff to coordinate nature science and other educational programs and field trips.
- Research and prepare grants, create a database, and develop content for social & recreation fundraising events.
- Develop volunteer management systems such as recognition methods.
- Develop an outreach plan for MRHI visibility and participation through in-person events, partnerships, social media, and newsletters.
Requirements
- United States citizen, US national, or lawful permanent resident alien.
- At least 18 years of age.
- College graduate.
Qualifications
- Agrees to provide information to establish eligibility and to complete a National Service Criminal History Check.
- Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to safely drive an organizational vehicle may also be required for some positions.
