Stewarding | Banquet Steward/Dishwasher ($28.20/hour)

About the role

A Banquet Steward/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware for our banquet functions. This role requires great verbal and written communication skills, basic mathematical reasoning, and refined organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware for banquet functions
• Work alongside the Culinary and Banquets teams to ensure events are executed flawlessly and in a timely manner
• Lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight (50 lbs)
• Constantly interact with team members in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• Basic mathematical reasoning
• Refined organizational skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight (about 50 pounds)
• Previous stewarding experience preferred

Qualifications

• Food handler's permit required

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $28.20/hour to $29.78/hour. The starting rate for this position is $28.20/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in this position with Hyatt for four years or more, which is currently offered at $28.76/hour. This position may also have a lead role, based on experienced, at $29.20/hour. For those colleagues who have remained as a lead steward for four years or more with Hyatt, the established rate is currently $29.78/hour.
