Steward (Resort)
Job Summary
The Steward is accountable for the overall success of the cleanliness daily in our newly renovated kitchen which includes an Athanor suite.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Regular and Reliable Attendance is an essential function of this role.
- Overall responsibility for the cleanliness of the kitchen, staff cafeteria, trash, loading dock and other areas as requested.
- Cleanliness of the plateware, silverware, glassware, as well as the cleanliness of ceilings, floors and walls every shift.
- Responsible for taking trash from the line trash cans as they fill throughout the day.
- Responsible for removal of dirty dishes and replacing them with clean dishes as needed.
- Informing chefs when items break and assisting with a breakage log.
- Assisting with the cleanliness of the walk-in coolers as requested.
- Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- 2 years of experience in a high volume hotel, club or restaurant.
- Able to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Food handling certificate and basic chemical and sanitary knowledge.
- Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- To work well under pressure.
- Current, Valid Driver’s License is Required.

Work Environment
Hotel/Resort Kitchen Environment. Equipment Used: Mechanical Dish Washing Machines including conveyor style and glass machines, Chemicals, Three Bay Sink, Dumpster, and other Standard Sanitation equipment used in kitchens.
