About the role
The Steward position at Mauna Lani Resort is a crucial role within the culinary team, responsible for maintaining a spotless and organized kitchen environment to support the creation of memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using manual or mechanical methods.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Assisting kitchen staff in food preparation tasks such as peeling and cutting vegetables or portioning ingredients.
- Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies to ensure a continuous and efficient workflow.
- Collaborating with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations and timely availability of clean dishes during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
- TB Clearance and Food Handlers Certification required.
