Sterile Processing Technician Part Time

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes instrumentation, supplies, and equipment from the operating room, departments, clinics, and outside customers in a timely manner
  • Cleaning and decontamination of instruments, scopes, equipment, and disposal of biohazard
  • Utilizing proper PPE, tech will disassemble, inspect, and decontaminate via manual, ultrasonic and automated process following IFU’s
  • Performs sterilization, and high-level disinfection of instruments, scopes and equipment via steam autoclaves, low temp and liquid chemical
  • Performs and records required daily quality checks and tests on the sterile processing environment, instrumentation, and equipment
  • Documents sterilization, HLD and tasks via electronic records, SPM or paper charting
  • Maintains assigned work areas and equipment to follow AAMI standards and IFU’s
  • Aids in orientation of new employees to each work assignment area and total department operation

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing/pulling) move 24lbs to max of 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, speak and understand fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sterile Processing certification HSPA
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting

The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
