About the role
The Certified Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for processing and sterilizing surgical instruments in accordance with hospital and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Process and sterilize surgical instruments according to hospital protocols
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and ready for use
- Prepare sterile field for surgeries as needed
- Handle and transport sterile supplies between departments
- Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment
Requirements
- Sterile Processing Certification is required within 18 months of hire
- BLS/CPR required
- One-year experience preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal sterile processing program
Skills
