About the role

The Certified Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for processing and sterilizing surgical instruments in accordance with hospital and professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Process and sterilize surgical instruments according to hospital protocols
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and ready for use
  • Prepare sterile field for surgeries as needed
  • Handle and transport sterile supplies between departments
  • Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment

Requirements

  • Sterile Processing Certification is required within 18 months of hire
  • BLS/CPR required
  • One-year experience preferred

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a formal sterile processing program

Skills

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment
