Sterile Processing Technician

About the role

Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, nights or calls.

Responsibilities

• Cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation
• Sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Computer skills, required
• CRCST/CSPDT or other SPD certification required
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Knows operating room instrumentation
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers
