Sterile Processing Technician
Job Summary
This position will work 3pm - 11:30pm. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
- Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
- Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
- Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
- Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Required: Highschool/GED Preferred: 1 year of experience
- Licensure, Certifications, Training: Required: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) –or– Certified Registered Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - Grace period: 2 years
