Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary

As a Sterile Processing Technician with Lee's Summit Medical Center, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by ensuring every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team dedicated to the care and improvement of human life.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Under the supervision of the OR Nurse Manager and the guidance of the Charge Nurse for surgery systems, perform critical functions associated with instrument decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and all aspects of sterilization processes.
• Prior experience in a surgical or other related health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the functions of decontamination and sterilization equipment.
• Able to exchange information in a factual, objective manner.
• Able to be flexible with regard to task priorities and time schedules.
