About the role

Ensure patient safety through expert equipment sterilization. Join Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Sterile Processing team to support safe surgical care by decontaminating, assembling, packaging, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Conduct routine inventory checks, restock supplies, and manage stock rotation.
• Collaborate with surgical services and other hospital departments to maintain a seamless supply chain of sterilized instruments.
• Utilize specialized tracking software to manage instrumentation needs and anticipate requirements for surgical cases.
• Adhere to strict infection prevention protocols and adjust to varying daily workloads while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure every instrument, tray, and piece of equipment is flawlessly sterilized, prepared, and ready for use in the operating room.

Qualifications

Preference is given to candidates with previous sterile processing experience or completion of a sterile processing technician course.
