About the role

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join their team. The facility features 6 operating rooms and 2 treatment rooms, performing outpatient surgical procedures across ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, and Urology specialties.

Responsibilities

• Care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation.
• Set up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years’ experience as an Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument trays.
• Understanding of steam/gravity sterilizer operation.
• Understanding of Sterrad sterilizer operation.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.

Schedule

Candidate must be available Monday‑Friday; schedule is subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day, with some early mornings and later evenings required.
