Sterile Processing Tech PRN
Job Summary
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empower a team committed to the care and improvement of human life.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
- Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
- Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
- Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
- Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
Qualifications
- A High School Graduate / GED, or equivalent work experience
- At least 6 months of experience as a sterile processing technician

About the Role
HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is a 238-bed acute care hospital serving Bay County and the surrounding communities. We are an accredited facility offering comprehensive care, including advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women's services, and dedicated spaces for adult and pediatric emergency services. We are also certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care and Comprehensive Breast Care Center accreditation. We are the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, and we have the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the region.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
