Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Central Sterile Technician to join our team at Chippenham Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Central Sterile Supply Certification and experience in preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Successful completion of Central Sterile Supply Certification Program
  • Minimum one to two years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician
  • Demonstrated leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Leading the preparation, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
  • Making sure all items are properly cleaned and ready for use
  • Organizing instruments and equipment based on surgery schedules and special case needs
  • Monitoring sterilization processes and equipment performance
  • Keeping accurate records and promptly reporting any issues
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked workspace
  • Training and supporting team members to work safely, follow best practices, and care for every patient like family
