Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Central Sterile Technician to join our team at Chippenham Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Central Sterile Supply Certification and experience in preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate / GED
- Successful completion of Central Sterile Supply Certification Program
- Minimum one to two years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician
- Demonstrated leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Leading the preparation, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
- Making sure all items are properly cleaned and ready for use
- Organizing instruments and equipment based on surgery schedules and special case needs
- Monitoring sterilization processes and equipment performance
- Keeping accurate records and promptly reporting any issues
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and stocked workspace
- Training and supporting team members to work safely, follow best practices, and care for every patient like family
