What We Offer
Schedule: 3:00pm-11:30p 2nd shift Mon-Fri
Responsibilities
- Workflow supervision of all activities related to Decontamination, Packaging, Sterilization, Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement
- Comply with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- Adhere to best practice by following regulatory, federal, and state recommended practices and guidelines as stated by AAMI, AORN, The JC, CMS, APIC, and SGNA
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED, required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in Sterile Processing if certified, required. Minimum of five years' experience in Sterile Processing if not certified, required.
- Licensure/certification: Recognized SPD Certification, required.
- Additional skills required: Certification from IAHCSMM (CRCST), CBSPD, CSPDT, or 5 years of applicable experience in lieu of certification. Must maintain certification status and annual educational hours required by each organization.
- Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing, knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique, ability to read and comprehend medical terminology.
