About the role

The primary role of the Healthcare Coordinator (HC) is to partner with supported Dentists to help gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the best course of treatment with urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and utilize financial options to support case acceptance
  • Educate patients on treatment choices
  • Overcome common patient objections
  • Proactively keep Dentist’s schedules productive
  • Support each patient in a consultative and educational manner
  • Create a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and Patients for Life (PFL)
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools, skills, and talents to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their unique wants and needs
  • Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician on every exam patient
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options to give patients choices to start dentistry that fits in their budget
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to completing treatment
  • Ensure the office is exemplifying the Comprehensive Care Model within the offices as well as referrals outside the office
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings and any other meetings as required
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework
  • Become knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies; address others professionally and respectfully always
  • Ensure Compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications and patient insurances
  • Results Oriented (energetic self-starter; sets realistic goals; meets commitments; persistent, prioritizes daily to achieve results)
  • Patient Advocate (flexible and adaptive; empathetic; passionate; ethical)

  • Self-motivated, reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentiality Patient records
  • Organized, detail-oriented individual able to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Information

$16.50-$23.00 / Hourly
