Responsibilities
- Deliver Instruction
- Conduct assigned classes, labs and/or clinicals
- Prepare lessons
- Provide course syllabus (including grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
- Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets
- If a Lab Is Involved, prepare labs and enforce lab safety procedures
- Evaluate Student Progress
- Keep accurate record of student performance
- Provide students with timely feedback
- Provide Student Assistance
- Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication
- Refer students to student support services
- Accommodate special needs students
Requirements
- Certified Sterile Processing Technician; at least 2 years experience in sterile processing role OR instructor of sterile processing role OR combination of both within the past 5 years
- PREFERRED: Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years' field and/or teaching experience

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Skills
- Effective teaching and instructional design skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning environments
- Experience with sterile processing or related healthcare field

Pay
- Less than MA: $1,069
- MA or Above: $1,109
Schedule
- Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities
- Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component
