Sterile Processing Adjunct Faculty (Summer 2026)

Responsibilities

• Deliver Instruction
• Conduct assigned classes, labs and/or clinicals
• Prepare lessons
• Provide course syllabus (including grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
• Verify student enrollment and submit grade sheets
• If a Lab Is Involved, prepare labs and enforce lab safety procedures
• Evaluate Student Progress
• Keep accurate record of student performance
• Provide students with timely feedback
• Provide Student Assistance
• Maintain office hours and voice-mail/e-mail communication
• Refer students to student support services
• Accommodate special needs students

Requirements

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician; at least 2 years experience in sterile processing role OR instructor of sterile processing role OR combination of both within the past 5 years
• PREFERRED: Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years' field and/or teaching experience

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Skills

• Effective teaching and instructional design skills
• Ability to adapt to different learning environments
• Experience with sterile processing or related healthcare field

Pay

• Less than MA: $1,069
• MA or Above: $1,109

Schedule

• Hours vary and may include day, evening and weekend responsibilities
• Courses are taught in a classroom setting and may include a lab component
