STEPS Simulation Lab Assistant

Job Summary

The College of Nursing is seeking a Simulation Lab Assistant to join the team! This position plays an essential role in ensuring the effective preparation, delivery, and operation of simulation-based learning experiences for students.

Responsibilities

• Supports the technical preparation, setup, execution, and maintenance of clinical simulation activities, including task trainers, high-fidelity patient simulators, and virtual reality scenarios.
• Assists with equipment maintenance, cleaning, supplies inventory, and learning resources.
• Collaborates with clinical partners to program and troubleshoot simulated clinical scenarios.
• Supports clinical training and education event content to advance learning goals and learner skills through simulation.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

• Fluency in use of MS Word and Outlook is favorable.
• Preferred technical experience with computer hardware or software.
• Ability to work well with others, multi-task, and great written and oral communication skills.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a simulation lab is a plus.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

Shift Details

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Occasional evening hours.
• All onsite.
• No virtual or hybrid work options.
• 40 Hours per Week.

Pay

$18.50/hr
