Job Summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Step Down Registered Nurse to perform the functions of direct patient care in the Cardiac Specialty Unit. The role involves utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs.

  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plan

  • Accurately documents patient encounters and protects patient health information

  • Continuously evaluates patient condition and collaborates with healthcare team
  • Manages environmental and system resources for patients and families

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Two or more years of recent critical care experience
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
  • Current AHA ACLS Certification
  • CCRN preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer knowledge

Preferred

  • Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master’s degree)
  • CCRN preferred
  • Additional languages preferred
