STEM/Career Exploration Teacher - Middle School - Grades 5-8

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with school and curriculum standards
• Teach reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to determine student growth
• Provide feedback to students and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in faculty meetings and professional development
• Incorporate technology and diverse teaching strategies to meet varied learning styles and needs

Required Qualifications

• State of Michigan certification with grade bands of K-8, 6-12, or 5-9, preferably also certified in Mathematics (EX) or English (BA/BQ/BX)
• Trained in Project Lead the Way, preferred
• Effective classroom management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
• Passion for teaching and working with students
• Commitment to ensuring all students are academically challenged based on individual learning levels
