The STEM Student Ambassador program is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Olive-Harvey College. Participation in the program will provide skills that can be utilized in various aspects of the student's professional and academic career.
Eligibility Requirements
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6-semester hours in pre-credit or credit classes
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Intermediate level of knowledge of computers
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to any situation
- Customer service skills
- Student role model
- Actively attending one of the City Colleges of Chicago
- Pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate
- In “good standing” – no City Colleges of Chicago academic restrictions
- Not current Full or Part-time employees of the City Colleges of Chicago
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides quality customer service to prospective students through events, campus tours, and other visits
- Answers questions that students may have about STEM events
- Maintains inventory of supplies
- Attends training sessions as required
- Maintains order in the room (no profanity, eating and group project voices low)
- Adheres to the City Colleges of Chicago Customer Service Excellence Standards
