Steel Shop Manager - Modular Manufacturing

About the role

The Steel Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the production and quality control processes in the modular manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the steel shop including scheduling, material handling, and production planning.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Manage team of shop workers and perform regular performance evaluations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or related industry.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and quality assurance procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.

Pay

$XX.XX per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
