Steamer Line Cook

About the role

You play a key role in delivering the signature dumplings our guests come to Din Tai Fung for. In this role, you are responsible for carefully steaming dumplings to order, ensuring each basket is cooked to perfection and served with the quality and consistency our guests expect. You’ll also support the dumpling team by helping prepare, assemble, and close dumplings throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Steam dumplings to order, ensuring each basket is cooked to perfection and served with the quality and consistency our guests expect.
• Support the dumpling team by helping prepare, assemble, and close dumplings throughout the shift.
• Open and close the steamer station, restock and organize dumplings to ensure service runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, groomed, and professional appearance to help bring the experience to life for our guests.

Supporting Functions

• Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
• Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
• Aids in regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP’s“).

• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to provide documentation to work in the United States legally
