Steam Turbine Design Development Engineer
About the role
This role involves contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Responsibilities include technical improvements to existing products and components. Responsible for the quality of one's own work. Works within a clearly defined corporate framework. Generally follows a step-by-step sequence of operational standard tasks to achieve a final result.
Roles and responsibilities
- Carries out the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects according to solid technical principles and adherence to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Involves mechanical and/or electrical technical development for all products.
- Develops conceptual knowledge of the discipline.
- Can assume support roles with specialized technical knowledge or technical expertise across a broad area.
- Applies general business knowledge developed through training or past experience.
- Understands how their team's work contributes to the field.
- Solves problems using established methods.
- Consults superiors or senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Works collaboratively to solve problems.
- Develops strong customer relationships for customer-oriented roles and serves as a liaison between customers and GE Vernova.
- Provides technical information, answers questions, and verifies understanding.
Qualifications
This role requires basic experience. The knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or an equivalent background with an A-level certificate).
Desired qualities include very good verbal and written communication skills, strong social skills and leadership qualities, ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, and the capability to consult superiors or senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

Pay
The pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
