This position is open to ONLY and ALL Journeyman Electrician. All Journeyman without prior station meter and relay tech experience will enter the department as an Assistant. The Assistant Meter and Relay Technician is in training for the position of Journeyman Station Meter and Relay Technician. This person shall work with and under direction of a Journeyman Station Meter and Relay Technician and shall be allowed a maximum period of two (2) years to complete study materials, examinations, and on-the-job training to qualify as a Journeyman Technician.

Responsibilities
- Attend technician training schools to learn relay standards and theory and complete electronic courses as specified for the Relay Technician Trainee program.
