About the role

The Kentucky State Park Ranger Division seeks a State Park Ranger I at Lake Malone State Park. This role enforces state laws on park properties, ensuring safety and guest protection.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state laws on park properties
• Provide services to park guests such as trail rescues, first aid, and information about the park and area attractions

Requirements

• One year of law enforcement experience as a sworn police officer
• Must be 21 years of age
• Maintain a valid driver's license
• Maintain any required licensure(s), certification (s), or other credentials for the length of employment

Qualifications

• High school graduate

Skills

• Knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes
• Ability to quickly learn policies and procedures of the Kentucky State Parks and Ranger Division
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Basic computer skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
