About the role

The Kentucky State Park Ranger Division seeks a State Park Ranger I at Fort Boonesborough State Park. This position enforces state laws on park properties, ensuring safety and guest protection.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state laws on Kentucky State Park properties.
• Provide services to park guests such as trail rescues, first aid, and general information.
• May assist with park operations as needed.

Requirements

• One year of law enforcement experience as a sworn police officer.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must possess and maintain a Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) certificate.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Substitute Education for Experience: None.
• Substitute Experience for Education: None.

Skills

• Knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes.
• Ability to quickly learn park policies and procedures.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Pay

Salary range: $2,976.04 - $4,464.04 monthly.
