Title and Brief Description
The State & Local Tax Manager at Whitley Penn is responsible for providing state & local income/franchise tax consulting and compliance services, managing multiple projects, and developing and training associates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
- Active CPA License
- 5-7 years of state & local income/franchise tax compliance and consulting experience
- Corporate & partnership state & local income/franchise tax experience
Qualifications
- Advanced technical knowledge of state income/franchise tax law, regulations and other guidance in Texas and other key states
- Strong communication skills; ability to interact with a broad range of individuals
- Strong professional presence and leadership skills; ability to mentor and develop staff
- Experience building and maintaining excellent client relationships, identifying value added services, and expanding books of business
