About the role
This position serves as Chief of the Finance and Budget Division and the Chief Financial Officer for the Department, with responsibility for planning, implementing and administering business and financial support services to the Department. Provides strategic financial advice and guidance to DNR leadership. Program areas include budget, federal aid, procurement, internal control, audit coordination. It directs the staff of the Division and provides direction to department financial staff in the performance of work necessary to fulfill the mission of the Department, following best financial practices.
Responsibilities
- Provides strategic financial advice and guidance to DNR leadership.
- Directs the staff of the Finance and Budget Division and provides direction to department financial staff in the performance of work necessary to fulfill the mission of the Department, following best financial practices.
- Serves on the Director’s management team, participating in policy and operational decisions relating to department-wide goals and objectives.
- Serves as the department’s representative on various significant enterprise roles.
Requirements
Required Education And Experience
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience: Two years of professional managerial experience.
