About the role

The State Attorney's Office, 11th Circuit is seeking an Assistant State Attorney to join the Public Records Unit. This position involves reviewing requests for public records, determining which records are public and redacting exempt and confidential information according to federal and state laws.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing requests for public records
  • Determining which records are public and redacting exempt/confidential information
  • Working within the criminal justice system, particularly with felony cases
  • Working independently and maintaining high levels of quality and accuracy
  • Organizing tasks, communicating effectively, and meeting deadlines
  • Adapting to changes and being computer literate

Requirements

  • Experience with the criminal justice system, especially with felony cases
  • Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Membership in the Florida Bar
