About the role

The Materials Management Division (MMD) is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to serve as Administration Section Manager and Division Budget Liaison. This position oversees a team responsible for critical administrative functions supporting division operations, including budget development and monitoring, accounting, procurement, grant administration, personnel actions, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the Division leadership team, advises the Division Director on financial and operational matters, and coordinates with EGLE Finance Division on legislative appropriations, resource allocation, and budget planning.
  • Supervises three direct reports, including a unit supervisor, and plays a key role in ensuring the division has the resources, systems, and support necessary to achieve its mission.
  • Manages competing priorities while providing excellent customer service to division staff and leadership.

Requirements

  • Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
  • Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
