Position: Accounting Clerk (AP/AR) Location: Honolulu, HI Pay: Starting at $22/hour Experience: 1+ year of AP/AR, Accounting Support, Bookkeeping, Office Administration, or related experience. Education: High school diploma/GED required. Associate's degree or Trade School preferred. Type: Full-time; Contract Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Accounting Clerk (AP/AR) to join a growing and dynamic team! Job Description Process vendor invoices accurately and on time, verifying details and resolving discrepancies.Prepare and process payments, and apply incoming customer payments to the correct accounts.Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure records are complete and accurate.Enter and maintain financial data, keeping files and records organized and up to date.Prepare bank deposits and manage petty cash, including tracking and reconciling transactions.Assist with reports and supporting documentation for the accounting team and management.Respond to vendor and customer inquiries by phone and email in a professional, helpful manner.Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed. Position Requirements Working knowledge of general accounting principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Clear verbal and written communication, including professional phone etiquette.A customer-service mindset when working with vendors, customers, and coworkers.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to catch and resolve issues.
