Starter/Ranger

Esplanade at Rivergrass, located in Naples, FL, is seeking a driven individual eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

About the Role

Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

Responsibilities

• Greet Members and guests as they arrive at the driving range for their tee time.
• Manage tee times to ensure Members and guests stay on time teeing off.
• Change club cleaners as needed with fresh water.
• Remove all trash, including from the back room work area, tee line, and golf shop, and take it to the dumpster as needed.
• Communicate with the Golf Shop and Bag Drop on a regular basis.
• Assist golfers when needed.
• Report all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Supply guests with scorecards, pencils, and other items if needed.
• Advise guests of course conditions and expected pace of play.
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license (if driving golf cars or driving range equipment).
• Strong work ethic.
• Friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Organized and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer/guest orientation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.
• Regularly reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes, smells, and sits.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.

Skills

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform job duties (e.g., communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, read equipment manuals in English).
• Knowledge about the game of golf preferred.
