Starter Generator Technician

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of aircraft Starter and Generators and related components.
• Identify wear, corrosion, cracks or other defects using approved inspection methods and tools.
• Disassemble, clean, and repair starter generator assemblies in accordance with manufacturer manuals and FAA regulation.
• Replace defective parts, seals, and hardware using approved parts, materials and methods.
• Balance and reassemble components to meet operational specifications.
• Conduct complete overhauls of starter generator units, including bead seating, bearing replacement, and torque checks.
• Perform functional testing to verify serviceability.
• Accurately complete maintenance records, work orders and FAA required documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with Part 145 Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM) requirements.
• Maintain calibration and cleanliness of tools, stands, and work areas.
• Report and tag unserviceable tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Technical or Aviation Trade School graduate preferred.
• One year of aviation-related training or work experience preferred.
