Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of aircraft Starter and Generators and related components.
- Identify wear, corrosion, cracks or other defects using approved inspection methods and tools.
- Disassemble, clean, and repair starter generator assemblies in accordance with manufacturer manuals and FAA regulation.
- Replace defective parts, seals, and hardware using approved parts, materials and methods.
- Balance and reassemble components to meet operational specifications.
- Conduct complete overhauls of starter generator units, including bead seating, bearing replacement, and torque checks.
- Perform functional testing to verify serviceability.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, work orders and FAA required documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with Part 145 Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM) requirements.
- Maintain calibration and cleanliness of tools, stands, and work areas.
- Report and tag unserviceable tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Technical or Aviation Trade School graduate preferred.
- One year of aviation-related training or work experience preferred.
