About the role

Kinstead helps experienced Nurse Practitioners across Massachusetts start their own independent practices, providing the business and operational support needed to make it doable. You’ll own your practice, choose the patients you want to serve, and decide what your schedule looks like, while Kinstead handles the infrastructure behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage your independent nurse practitioner practice
• Select the patient population you wish to serve
• Set your own schedule and work hours
• Provide clinical care using your expertise
• Grow your patient panel over time

Requirements

• Experienced FNP, PMHNP, or other Nurse Practitioner
• Active Massachusetts NP license meeting state requirements for independent practice
• Several years of experience caring for patients
• Strong ties to the community you hope to serve
• Interest in starting your own practice (no business plan or prior billing/credentialing knowledge required)
• Desire for greater ownership over patient care and work structure

Pay

As your practice grows, NPs typically take home around $100–$200 per clinical hour, with the potential to earn around $300,000 annually in a full‑time practice.

Schedule

You control your schedule—many NPs begin with just a few hours a week while continuing elsewhere, and can grow to part‑time or full‑time as desired. Your practice can remain part‑time or eventually replace your current job.
