Hybrid$100–$200/hrFull-time

About the role

Kinstead helps experienced Nurse Practitioners across Massachusetts start their own independent practices, handling the business and operational work so you can focus on patient care. You own your practice, choose the patients you serve, and set your own schedule. You can begin with just a few hours a week while continuing elsewhere and grow at a pace that makes sense for you.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care to patients in your independent practice, applying your experience and community knowledge, while Kinstead manages the behind‑the‑scenes business operations, technology, and growth support.

Requirements

  • Experienced FNP, PMHNP, or other Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Massachusetts NP license and meet the state’s requirements for independent practice
  • Several years of experience caring for patients
  • Strong ties to the community you hope to serve
  • Have thought about starting your own practice (even if unsure where to begin)
  • Want more ownership over how you care for patients and how you structure your work

Benefits

  • Insurance credentialing and payer contracting
  • Billing, coding, and revenue cycle management
  • EHR and technology support
  • Scheduling and patient intake
  • Virtual front desk with real humans answering patient calls
  • Business setup, legal, and compliance support
  • Website and marketing support
  • Tools and support to help you grow your patient panel

Startup costs are typically less than $3,000; most practices can cover basic costs with fewer than 3 patient visits per month.

Pay

NPs typically take home around $100–$200 per clinical hour, with the potential to earn around $300,000 annually in a full‑time practice.

Schedule

You decide what your schedule looks like; you can start with just a few hours a week while continuing elsewhere and grow at your own pace. Your practice may remain part‑time or eventually replace your current job.
