Start Your Own Nurse Practitioner Practice | Massachusetts
About the role
Kinstead helps experienced Nurse Practitioners across Massachusetts start their own independent practices with the support to make it feasible. This opportunity allows you to own your practice, choose your patients, and design your schedule. You’ll build the practice you want while we handle the infrastructure.
For some NPs, this means more time with patients; for others, it’s about schedule flexibility, higher earnings, or owning something independently. You don’t need to leave your current job to start—many begin part-time and grow at their own pace.
What we handle
- Insurance credentialing and payer contracting
- Billing, coding, and revenue cycle management
- EHR and technology setup
- Scheduling and patient intake
- A virtual front desk with real humans answering patient calls
- Business setup, legal, and compliance support
- Website and marketing support
- Tools and support to grow your patient panel
Requirements
- Experienced FNP, PMHNP, or other Nurse Practitioner
- Active Massachusetts NP license with independent practice eligibility
- Several years of patient care experience
- Strong ties to the community you hope to serve
- Interest in starting your own practice, even if unsure where to begin
- Desire for more ownership over patient care and work structure
No business plan, credentialing, or billing knowledge required. You don’t need to leave your current job to start.
Startup and Earnings
Most practices cover basic costs with fewer than 3 patient visits per month, and startup costs are typically under $3,000. As your practice grows, NPs typically earn $100–$150 per clinical hour, with potential annual earnings of around $250,000 in a full-time practice.
