Start-Up Operations Manager, DTC Launch

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and operational capability testing with engineering
• Manage DTC warehouse functions during launch, overseeing workflows from receiving to shipping
• Support the launch playbook by documenting lessons and standardizing processes
• Lead day-to-day warehouse operations and large teams to meet throughput targets
• Validate WMS/WES functionality and troubleshoot order-flow issues
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct OSHA compliance audits
• Manage launch priorities, labor planning, and cross-functional coordination

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 8 years of 3PL warehouse or distribution center experience, focusing on high-volume DTC or e-commerce fulfillment
• Advanced exposure to automated warehouse environments, particularly AutoStore or similar robotic systems
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and experience with safety protocols
• Ability to drive launch-critical KPIs like units per hour (UPH), order accuracy, OEE, and cost-per-unit
• Up to 80% travel may be required
• Requires a valid driver's license and ability to manage travel expenses for reimbursement

Pay

$110,000 – $130,000 annually
