About the Role

The Company operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week. The Server is responsible for greeting, selling, order taking, preparing beverages, and serving guests in safe and efficient compliance with policies, procedures, brand standards, and federal, state, and local regulations. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand, and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and answer all questions about the menu.
• Take orders accurately and promptly.
• Prepare beverages in accordance with prescribed procedures and brand standards.
• Deliver beverages and food to guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare guest checks and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing, and accounting policies.
• Report all tips in compliance with Company policy and IRS regulations.
• Immediately clean all spills and breakage.
• Maintain clean equipment and work areas.
• Restock service items as needed.
• Report to work on time, in proper uniform, and attend department meetings as scheduled.
• Communicate with guests and associates in a professional and positive manner.
• Report incidents of guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters to management for corrective action.
• Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Practice safe work habits and follow sanitary, security, and emergency procedures.
• Write shift reports, including incidents of theft, accidents, or injuries when assigned.
• Check with manager before leaving the work area for any reason.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
• Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
• Complete any other tasks or duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable about hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate.
• Comply with guest service basics, including wearing uniforms and name tags and greeting guests properly.
• Promptly report emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items, and safety hazards to management.
• Report any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards, and regulations to management.
