Job Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop café associates and shift supervisors.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture focused on guest service and engagement.
- Create schedules that effectively support business demands while managing labor costs.
- Lead daily team huddles and communicate operational priorities.
- Ensure every guest receives outstanding service consistent with Starbucks standards.
- Resolve guest concerns and service recovery opportunities professionally and promptly.
- Maintain Starbucks and Aramark beverage and food quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order products to support business needs while minimizing waste.
- Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and rotation of products.
- Manage labor, food, and beverage costs to achieve budgeted targets.
- Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
- Review operational reports and implement action plans to improve business performance.
- Maintain accountability for cash management and inventory controls.
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, and Starbucks and Aramark operating procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment for employees and guests.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and compliance audits.
- Support emergency and event-management procedures within the convention center environment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of management experience in a coffee shop, café, quick-service restaurant, retail food service, or hospitality environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced operation.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with scheduling, labor management, and inventory control.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and operational metrics.
- Able to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, event-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
