Location

The AAA Four Diamond JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District is located in the heart of historic Savannah on the riverfront, offering easy access to shopping, dining, riverside bars, and walking tours. Housed in a repurposed power plant, the district features three unique buildings—Power Plant, Three Muses, and Atlantic—each with its own architectural and historical charm. Guests can enjoy the hotel spa and vibrant nightlife in the entertainment district.

Overview

Baristas perform a variety of job duties while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing coffee, tea, and other beverages to customer specifications, and operating cash registers and credit card machines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a calm demeanor during high-volume periods or unusual events to uphold store standards and set a positive example for the team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customer cues, communicating observations to management to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assists with new partner training by reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful, encouraging coaching.
• Delivers outstanding customer service with a "customer-first" attitude, discovering and responding to customer needs.
• Follows Starbucks and property operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security procedures.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace to ensure resources and products are easily accessible.
• Ensures regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Prepares quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Performs other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work.
• Maintains a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.
• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with associates and guests in an attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Listens, understands, and clarifies concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Multitasks and prioritizes to ensure outstanding service.
• Approaches all interactions with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
• Attends all required hotel meetings and trainings.

• Maximizes productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions.
• Must be available to work some weekends.
