About the role

This position contributes to the success of Cosentino’s and Starbucks by providing the Starbucks Experience to customers.

Responsibilities

• Implement Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards
• Deliver legendary customer service at all times
• Promote a positive team atmosphere through cooperation, teamwork, high morale, and positive interactions
• Manage multiple situations effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Work with integrity and promote the company’s culture, values, and mission
• Stay calm during high-volume or unusual events
• Prepare and price products accurately for sale
• Avoid legal and operational compliance issues

• Answer customer questions accurately and courteously

• Comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures
• Ensure the department is clean, fully stocked, and merchandised appropriately

• Promote department sales by suggesting additional products, offering samples, and creating displays

• Communicate with store management about department issues
• Unload and stock incoming shipments of bakery ingredients
• Support the company by completing additional tasks, assisting other stores or departments, and acquiring new skills

Requirements

• Obtain a food handling permit within 14 days of employment
• Complete ongoing training and development as outlined in the Cosentino Learning Plan
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about the items in your department to provide accurate answers to customer inquiries
• Ability to work in colder conditions in grocery coolers and freezers
