About the role
As a Stamping Set-Up Operator, you will set up and operate assigned equipment up to 630-ton presses. You will be capable of running multiple pieces of equipment, either stand-alone or in a cellular fashion. You will be trained and certified on all presses and complex tooling above 630-ton presses or operate a cell of machines that includes secondary processes. The role involves performing minor in-die tool component changes, rotating to various assigned machines as required, and problem-solving to make corrective adjustments during set-up and operation.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to best safety practices in performing the job.
- Maintain all quality requirements and productivity standards.
- Maintain 5S standards throughout the department.
- Train and provide work direction to others as required.
- Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality technicians on process improvement.
- Complete daily routine maintenance as required.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Inspection of tools and equipment.
- Basic reading, writing, math, organizational, and computer skills.
- Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Must hold or pass STRATTEC forklift operator driver’s license.
Pay
Starting pay rate: $25.00/hour plus $0.75 shift premium. Hours: 3 PM to 1 AM, Monday through Thursday. After successful completion of a 6-month training period, wage will progress to $30.06/hour.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM.
