Key Responsibilities

  • Design, select, and specify stamping pressroom equipment (such as presses, feeders, conveyors, and automation systems).
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and process efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, equipment specifications, and maintenance procedures.
  • Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, modifications, or new installations.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain equipment engineering standards and design specifications to support standardization objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • A high school degree or GED and 3 years of experience in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats.
  • Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure.
  • Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 8 years of experience with stamping pressroom equipment and processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to Supplier Stamping equipment.
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Familiarity with CAD software 2D & 3D and equipment layout planning.
