Key Responsibilities
- Design, select, and specify stamping pressroom equipment (such as presses, feeders, conveyors, and automation systems).
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and process efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, equipment specifications, and maintenance procedures.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, modifications, or new installations.
- Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements.
- Maintain equipment engineering standards and design specifications to support standardization objectives.
Basic Qualifications
- A high school degree or GED and 3 years of experience in engineering or a related technical field.
- Ability to work and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong oral, written, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation in easily understandable formats.
- Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure.
- Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- 8 years of experience with stamping pressroom equipment and processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to Supplier Stamping equipment.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Familiarity with CAD software 2D & 3D and equipment layout planning.
