We’re looking for a talented Staking Technician who loves a good challenge and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves—whether that means designing new services, mapping out upgrades, or answering the age‑old question, “Can we run power there?” If you enjoy helping members, collaborating with electricians and engineers, and occasionally feeling like the person who knows the secret map of the entire service territory, this is the job for you. In this role, you’ll design and stake new construction projects, prepare work orders and permits, and ensure all designs meet RUS and NESC standards. You’ll work closely with members, landowners, electricians, and local officials to secure easements, provide service guidance, resolve issues, and support project planning. You’ll also assist with inspections, determine construction specifications, coordinate with Minnesota One Call, and support emergency response needs. An associate’s degree or a minimum of 6 years of line construction experience is required. This position requires possession of a valid Class D driver's license at a minimum.
