Job Summary
The Stainless Steel Welder is a key contributor in the fabrication of high-quality ASME and pharmaceutical-grade vessels. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical precision, and a thorough understanding of MIG and TIG welding processes.
Responsibilities
- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete welding tasks with accuracy.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure proper layout and assembly.
- Document all work in accordance with ASME tank fabrication requirements.
- Layout nozzle locations based on blueprints and part specifications.
- Use plasma burners to perform clean, precise cuts as required.
- Execute high-quality welds using TIG and MIG welding techniques.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move and position parts and materials.
- Understand and apply start-to-finish processes for pharmaceutical-grade tank welding and fabrication.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while adhering to all company safety procedures.
- Support team goals by being available for overtime when production demands increase.
- Work independently and collaboratively to meet production deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Experience with plasma cutting, grinding, and material prep.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation experience (or willingness to be trained).
Preferred
- Experience in ASME-certified pharmaceutical-grade fabrication environments.
- Knowledge of pressure vessel welding processes and documentation standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the shift (approximately 90%).
- Frequent use of hands and arms; ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in environments with fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).
- Ability to safely and effectively operate welding equipment and fabrication tools.
