Stainless Steel/Orbital Single Hand Welder - Shop Fabrication

About the role

Loenbro is seeking experienced Single Hand Shop Welders for a long‑term stainless steel prefab piping project. The role involves planning, laying out, welding, installing, testing and repairing process piping and similar tubular products in accordance with plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train welder helpers.
• Examine and inspect working conditions, identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost‑saving measures, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Choose filler metals and construction material to complete assignments.
• Produce quality work that meets requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Maintain motivation, productivity and safety on the job.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of welding experience.
• Prior welding experience in construction, mining, or a related industry, or a two‑year vocational‑technical degree.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Completion of a welding qualification (required).
• Orbital welding training will be provided; prior orbital welding experience is a plus.
• Must meet all state license requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers.
• High attention to detail and quick learning ability.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed.
• Team‑oriented problem‑solving skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The position may involve exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures, confined spaces such as tanks and vessels, limited working surfaces, noise above 85 decibels, intense odors, and areas with limited visibility. Work is performed in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments and requires compliance with safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro’s Environmental Health and Safety policies.

Pay

$40 – $45 per hour, depending on experience.
