Summary Of Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Be knowledgeable of assigned location and its technical equipment
Be knowledgeable of show content and individual productions tracks
Assist technical set up of shows and activations
Work well with Stage manager, Technical Operations Area Assistant Team Lead, cast and crew
Responsible for staging and resetting various stages for all shows and activations
Change stage sets for different shows
Wear Dollywood Entertainment provided costume or uniform
Keep work area orderly, neat, safe, and well-maintained
Assist in other areas of Entertainment Division as directed
Have a basic knowledge of electricity
Operate a spotlight

Education And Experience Required

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years backstage experience with school, community or professional theaters preferred
  • Carpentry and electrical skills preferred
  • Basic computer skills required

Physical And Cognitive Requirements

  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
  • Mobility: Intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
  • Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
  • Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
  • Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
  • Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods
  • Able to have physical mobility enough to allow walking, kneeling, crawling, bending, reaching (high and low), twisting, and moving about tight spaces
  • Able to climb and work comfortably in high positions up to 80 ft off the ground
